Still looking for a teacher but I may go self-teaching for a while.

How I did it: I started playing in 5th grade. It took me awhile to decide on it but I am so glad I did! I admit, I didn't practice too much in my early years, but I practice so much now and it pays off tremendously! I got first chair in the state! (I'm first chair in pretty much everything, haha.) I took lessons for 5 years and even played in a jazz band. The sax is just so cool.
When I was in grade six I got my Christmas wish. My Dad gave me a Saxophone! So I went to lessons, played in band and Jazz classes. I even played in England. But eventually stopped in high school and its been in my closet ever since. But like Clinton, and that Chinese guy in that alleyway, I’ll pull it out every now and then, but I’m far from performance ready. .

I’ve been playing the saxophone (alto primarily, but I’ve played soprano, tenor, and bari) for nearly fourteen years now and I couldn’t be more in love. I haven’t had much time to play since I’ve been in grad school, but I’m looking for some kind of combo to serve me well when I’ve escaped.
An entirely “worth it” goal, to be sure. :)
