I heard about this on KCRW’s good food and want to give it a go. Any tips?
Did anyone get this book/DVD?
I tried mozzarella, it didn’t come out perfect but pretty well for my first try! I’m going to do it again, and use the resulting cheese for eggplant parmesean. Yay. Also plan to try making some feta for a quiche. I tried Ricotta but it did not work out.
I just got my share of the cheese I made with a friend and it is so good! It’s goat cheese but it’s less musty than the kind I usually buy, it tastes more like fresh cream. I can’t wait to mix it with some garlic or herbs and spread it on… whatever!
Next up, mozzarella. Can’t get buffalo milk tho, have to make the cow’s milk variety.
Started with some basic chevre, some friends showed me and my bf how to do it. We have to finish it up tonight and then let it sit for a while before it’s quite ready.
Next for sure I want to try mozzarella… it SO yummy when I buy it, I’d love to be able to make it! Then feta, then some harder cheeses.
She is going to teach me to do this. I will start with softer cheese and work up to something more difficult. Yay! I didn’t think I would be able to do this for a long time and now it’s possible sooner than I thought. I’m so excited!
zerlina is trying to motivate herself to clean house.
The Seattle Cheese Festival is this month. I’m going to watch a demonstration of how to make mozzarella!
omseagrass is a new auntie!!
at making paneer, which is like the simplest form of cheese you can make. but this weekend i shall succeed! I think i went wrong by not boiling the milk properly – plus i used bottled lemon juice and i think next time i’ll try fresh squeezed lemon juice…
