Okay, I’m going to be doing this next summer and these are the steps I’ll have to take…They will probably need some adjustment later.
- Review and memorize Michigan’s Drivers Manuel
- To prepare for written test, study the booklet, What Every Driver Must Know from a Secretary of States office.
- Obtain a license or temporary instruction permit (TIP) from a Secretary of States office
- Bring birth certificate + 2 other pieces of ID (college transcript, SS Card, insurance policy, etc.) & $25 to take a vision & a written test
- Register and pay for classes (that start in August) & begin!

I did this back in May. I have my licence now. Some yelling and a little crying did go on though, but i guess i was pretty good for a small town girl learning to drive in the city.

I’m so excited that I finished this goal! Tomorrow, I am driving to SC with my boyfriend, and I will actually be able to help with the driving. Hopefully before the end of next month, I’ll have my license!

I am signed up for driving lessons! In a couple of days I’ll get my confirmation call, and make a schedule! This is so great!

I have completed all but one of six lessons. This should make me a better driver, but I still need to get some practice in before I take the test. Thus, the “buy a car” goal on my list.
