This has certainly been my downfall in the past.
I love to cook, I love healthy food….but I don’t know when to stop.
Now my husband is finding it hard to fit into his trousers for work (oops!)
I need to sort this before it becomes a major issue for us both, not just me.

I’ve never been anywhere near overweight, but I think it would be worthwhile to try eating a little less – aiming to burn more efficiently, have more energy, and save some money, and tread more lightly on the planet. If I can keep it up I might live a little longer too.

i love that when i hang out with my friends, i’ll totally show my joy in being in their company by gorging on great chinese foods, like hot pot, roast duck, deep fried lobster and crab, loads of zia jiang mian and all the vietnamese pho you could possible gobble up in a sitting. sheesh. and if its time for dumplings…OH BEWARE! i’m currently fasting and and trying to practice eating smaller portions. doesn’t this speed up the metabolism too?

i like the sensation of food so much that i often eat too much. this closely links with “only eat when i’m hungry”. obviously if i ate less (i mean smaller, more reasonable portions rather than a starvation diet)then i would obviously loose weight.

i got a bad cold/flu and lost my appetite completely for a bit. i haven’t overeaten since. well except for friday nite at casey’s with jojo… i am trying to eat only 1 real meal a day. the rest is healthy or unhealthy snacks.

Without even trying, I’ve succeeded at this. I have to eat smaller portions now or I’ll get sick; my appetite has gone way down. Now I eat probably about half as much per meal as I did before I started my diet in January, and I don’t snack nearly as much on junk as I used to. It’s amazing to me now how large most restaurant meals are, and I still serve myself larger portions at home than I can eat, simply out of habit – I haven’t gotten used to the fact that I can’t eat that much at once anymore.
