fix up my backyard

Having to give up on this goal now because I’ve moved to an apartment!!

but then it just died. There may have not been enough TLC .. and now it just looks like a sad little yellow jungle. I have to start all over again, minus the thyme and oregano!

but still have a long way to go. I can’t wait till the garden grows!! All of the flowers have already nearly died .. but it looks like the herbs are still OK. I am watering them every day .. and this Sunday will be one week so I will have to refertilize them again and I might go down to watering every second day.
We’re renting so I can’t really do anything about the fence or the water feature but i might research ways to clean them up.

My backyard is clearly feral. If I’m going to have that Haloween party that we’ve been dreaming of then I’m going to have to make this space entertainable. It has alot of potential but I’ve never done something like this before – my dad took care of our yard in our family home and i’ve been living on my own in apartments since I was 17. I have to get this done before the end of October. It’s a nice day outside today .. so I’ve going to give digging up the garden a shot.. Wish me luck!

...which is a weed-choked disaster. i’d like to do this myself, as cheaply as possible, and result in a resplendent xeriscaped haven! just in time to sell the house. :)
