Balut Whatever the ball of clay thrown against the wall resembles today.
There was a manic-depressive guy in the drink car buying rounds for all en route to his “meeting with Trump and Speilberg in NYC”. He told me I’d be an ideal drinking buddy for Nick Nolte and offered to hook me up “next time I was in L.A..”

And I am not counting the zoo train, either! I think an overnight trip would be especially nice…

Pretty easy experience other than a few customs issues in Vancouver BC. Much easier than driving to Vancouver from Seattle, beautiful all the way (mostly by water) and relatively inexpensive.
Take the skytrain in Vancouver to your hotel, really easy to get around.

brie brie is counting down the days until Graduation!
Years ago I took the train from New Orleans to Chicago and then New York. My grandmother had talked about taking the train places when she was a young woman and I wanted to see America similar to the way she had seen it.
It was an intersting experience and there are some weirdos on the train, but I’d like to do it again and this time get a sleeper car and do it the nice way.

I often enjoyed the wonderful journey up to Scotland on the train enjoying the countryside views, especially along the coast.
Reasons to love the journey, you get to meet some interesting people, see the sights (good & bad), you can read, work, eat & drink, play games, or even sing. WHat more can I say?
Have a wonderful trip, hope you get to go somewhere nice.

Fiz has to start completing more of her goals..
Well it can get boring after a while..but its good to feel your body moving to the train. Make sure you pack a good read, and some music. Oh and dont forget to try and bring a friend/lover with you to keep you company :)

My then 8 yr old and I took the train from Harrisburg, Pa to Bryn Mawr, Pa to meet my wife for the weekend. Emily spent pretty much the whole ride checking out the bathroom cause she thought it was so cool….

Not so great…
I took a train ride my freshman year in college from St. Louis to Chicago… eh not so great. The movement made it hard to read, and it was noisy. On the way back I was nursing my first hangover… not great when it isn’t a smooth ride.
I woulnd’t take the train in America again, but perhaps abroad. Don’t do it if you want to get somewhere in a timely fashion, nor if you get motion sick.
:)
