Today, my brother found an old black-light lightbulb and tried it on a lamp we have in the living room. As I walked into my room, he lit the lamp and I heard this super weird noise (it sounded like a demon escaping, lol) and my brother saying WOW! I ran out of my room asking what happened and he said that the top of the lamp ignited and burst into flames. I saw the top of the lamp and it was all burnt as was the bottom of the lightbulb.
Does hearing count as witnessing? Is what happened with the lamp considered spontaneous combustion?
Man! What an epic fail on my part for missing it!
I’ll check this goal off… but I feel like I’m cheating myself.

this happened when i was redoing my apartment, i was planing some boards to make a window/bookshelf type idea and generated alot of sawdust and woodchip that i had put in a garbage bag. after priming the wood i chose to have a lunch break and so i cleaned my hands and arms with laquer thinner.
Note: laquer thinner is highly combustive.
basically while i was drinking my orange juice, the afternoon sun caused the thinner to heat up so much that the rag it was soaked it caught fire and set my bag of wood refuse alight.
i think this classifies as spontaenous.
