Use my musical abilities

I finally got the nerve to sing in front of church during praise band. It was so cool. And no one pointed and laughed despite how sick I was.

My whole childhood was consumed by music…practicing, performing, competing… I made a firm decision to change my focus when I entered adulthood, but I must admit I both miss making music and feel guilty for wasting my training and talents. I joined a string quartet about a year and a half ago, which doesn’t really match my current musical interests, though it did fulfill my desire to use my musical abilities in some way, shape or form. We’ve disbanded since one of our members decided she no longer wanted to play and that her sole focus needed to be on her radio career. So now what? I don’t have a lot of free time, and I may be better off just waiting for a more opportune time to dust off the skills and utilize them. Two things I thought about, though, that I could probably do for now to achieve this goal, are to put some time aside each week to work on writing music or to focus some time each week to getting better on guitar. Or maybe both?
