buy a classic car

I was dating a mechanic/race car driver and hanging out with the rest of the team and before I knew I was standing in front of this 18 foot beast handing over some cash.

She only had a 318, but I really wish I’d had the chance to finish restoring her. Alas, I sold the house and was moving to the UK so I gave her to another kind soul who’d give her the chance to shine again.

Every time I go back to Seattle I find myself looking for her. Wouldn’t that be awesome.

Every time I go to a car show, it makes me want one!

Must be patient.
And save up lots & lots of money.

Maybe someday…

That I have very expensive taste in classic cars.
Well classic cars tend to be pricey anyways.

But I wouldn’t mind a Rolls Royce!
I can dream!

This will be a long way off.

Since my bank account is very empty right now.
It’s a good thing I decided to stop shopping so much.
Right before I actually realized I have no money to shop with.

Time to start saving all over again!

Long story short had a classic car, sold it. Years later now I am so sad that it is gone….

I had one a few years ago – my father had bought it in the 1988.
But it wasn’t roadworthy, and it would have cost me far more to make it roadworthy than it would have become worth.
It was using space in my mother’s garage, and I had nowhere to put it, and even if I had somewhere to store it I had no way of getting it there without paying a fortune.
So I had to sell it for peanuts to a family friend who has the skills and equipment to rebuild it himself (and had nearly finished his previous restoration project – a Ferguson tractor).

I miss having it – even though I couldn’t drive it anywhere.

I love classic cars. Expecially convertiables. I doubt I will ever be able to afford one but, it’s nice to dream!
