One of the major benefits of my group house – each of us cooks one weeknight (generally with a partner), so all five nights we have a full dinner and company waiting for us. Plus leftovers!
How to cook a real meal at least once a week
How I did it: Once we (my boyfriend and I) got our own place, it was easier. Now, once or twice a week, we sit down together at our table and enjoy a meal that one of us has prepared.
Lessons & tips: Get good groceries. Buy ingredients rather than pre-packaged goods, you'll make a tastier and healthier (usually) meal!

I found this great website where all you do is click on what’s in your kitchen and pantry and then it will give you recipies based on that. Check it out:

Maybe cause I’m single I’ve gotten in the habit
of eating take out food. No motivation to
cook for myself. Any suggestions?

I was watching Rachel Ray make chicken parmesean and salad in one of her 30 minute meals on tv..and she made it look so easy. Now I’ve got to try it!

I’m tired of living off of frozen dinners and snacks here and there. I cooked for Ian and his parents last night and it was really good. When I go stay with them I’m sure I’ll be cooking more often, and I cant wait. It’s healthier, tastier and a lot more fun!
