Almost 1/2 way there. I’m only about $1,000 from having 1/2 my college loans paid for. I graduated in May ‘06, so if I keep up at the same rate I should be paid off in another 3 years. Unfortunately, my life is a changin. I’m soon to move out on my own. Purchasing a house, so not sure I’ll be able to keep sending 2x and 3x payments.
So I guess I would first have to obtain all of the information because in moving, I have lost it all…then I would have to come up with the means to pay for it….but after that…I’ll be good to go. Then I can go back to school and figure out what kind of career I want for myself ;)
I’m paying double my monthly payment and it is still going to take me 10 years to pay these off!!! WTF, sometimes I think the world is set up against you if you don’t have money. Oh, well, I’ll get them paid off before then…I just don’t know how. I don’t want to be in debt. I don’t want to get a mortgage either for that matter. Its unbelievably unfair if you don’t have money its going to cost you more. If you have money it costs you less..no it actually doesn’t cost you anything and you make money. What a scam money is.
So…school loans acrue simple interest. That means that everyday I am acruing close to $4.00 in interest. Total BS. I don’t even have a job in my major. Total BS. Oh well the degree did get me a decent job.
It seems like i am making payments and nothing is happening so i am going to start doubling my payments and hopefully i will see the balance reduce.
I feel like I pay lots and lots each month and it looks like ten cents less everytime I see the payoff balance. BOO! Thankfully, I feel really good about my education and I love having my Master’s Degree. I am the master ;) hehehe.
