I want to build my own business, and contract my accounting services. I want to know how to get my resume out there, and get noticed so I can build a solid client base. The perfect company would want to cut the overhead, by not having to pay healthcare and workers comp, as well as payroll taxes. How do I market this?

A friend of A’s is hosting a purse party! Yippee!! Hopefully she will have lots of fashionistas that MUST have a few handbags or maybe some gym junkies that will pick up a yoga mat bag. I need to pull more money in so that I can buy my own bag! Too funny. I don’t even own a bag that I am trying to sell people. I guess I should add that as a goal. It’s so hard nowadays with a baby. To think that I should spend money on another purse when I would rather put it towards a vacation or her savings. I get lost in mommy mode. I miss being a girlie girl.
Visited two of the boutiques on my list; neither was really right. Came up with the name of another place to consider. AM brainstorming cheap but effective ways to get my company’s name out there.
Naturally, this is an ongoing thing, but I feel like I really did something. Compiling a mailing list from my past customers took a while, and composing an e-mail took a while too, but hopefully reminding them that I’m still here will bring folks back for that last-minute shopping.
I spent $14 to get some advertising on BoingBoing on Dec. 4 and Dec. 11th – I hope it helps! I can’t wait.
I am changing the packaging for one of my products and improving a component that wasn’t poor, but could always be better.
I am also trying to figure out how to “use what I have” instead of buying more supplies – to combine the supplies I have in a new way.

I have posted ads to CraigsList and have also answered ads for work in my area of specialty and I gotta’ tell you, it rocks! There are no fees involved and I am generating phone calls and leads for my business.
advertising on Google AdWords and haven’t seen any results as of yet, three weeks in. Does anyone know the secret of getting a good position on AdWords? I have gotten my link up on the Google Local site and that looks good but I’ll see if it brings any results. I’m willing to share and swap advice, contact me through my website link.
