see Wagner's Ring Cycle

When I was little, my dad and I read the comic-book version of the story (which was probably not age-appropriate for me for many, many reasons, but it gave me a chance to learn the story). I was inspired to see the actual performance by a WNYC program. Right now, I’m working on getting familiar with opera music in general.

Unfortunately, my aunt passed away and I will miss the last two operas to attend the funeral. This whill have to wait until the Met’s new production next decade.

In July, I’ll be attending the full Ring Cycle at the Met!

I don’t know when. But a life goal is to see the entire ring cycle during the Bayreuth Festival. With enough additional $$$, I’ll take in all the operas. Gonna take some doing though – one ticket (from Australia) for the entire festival, lodging and transport is about 13 grand!!!
