Geographically speaking, this is the one thing I want to do with my life… move to the Pacific Northwest… to somewhere that feeds my soul instead of leaving it feeling barren and unfulfilled. The cornfields of Indiana have pretty much sucked all happiness and excitement out of me and made me yearn constantly to travel (which, based on my current lifestyle choices, I can neither afford nor have the time for).
I don’t know if I will ever be able to accomplish this goal, but I set it to remind me in six months.
We shall see, I guess.

Honestly, I don’t know if this is ever going to happen. There aren’t a ton of job opportunities in my field in that part of the world. I applied for a job at the National Archives’ regional facility in Seattle after finishing library school, but I got shot down.
But there’s just something about the landscape of the northwest that really grabs me. Along with London, it’s one of the places that I will probably always regret not moving to when I was less tied down, both personally and professionally.

Somehow, I’ve landed in Silverdale, WA on the Kitsap Peninsula.
It’s very different from Columbus, OH. I’ve been here.. just under a month and I still feel rather shell-shocked.
