It’s not that he’s not a playful cat, but toys don’t seem to excite him. He looks at them like he knows what he’s supposed to do, but doesn’t care to do it. I got him a little spring-mounted boppy-thing and he just looks at it like “yeah, so?” Same for the cat-nip filled purple mouse toy, the pop-up tunnel, and even the cardboard scratching pad everyone told me he’d love.
I don’t know what else to get for him.

With plans for getting a cat, I’d bought food, dishes, a litter box, and not much else because I wasn’t sure what size cat I’d bet getting or what its personality would be.
So today I’ve got to run out and get him a scratching post/pad, some toys, a bed, and a brush because he’s so fluffy. He keeps following me around mowwing loudly, and I can tell he’s bored. Poor guy, he’s got nothing to play with.
