I got suckered by the Sunday morning informmercial for Tony Horton’s 10 minute trainer. I ordered the program and cancelled my gym membership. I just received it in the mail today, so I haven’t given it a go yet. It does seem like a great product, and I’m am excited to do it. I don’t care about losing weight, but I do want to lose fat and get stronger. I did my “before” photos and measurements, and am just waiting for dinner to settle before I start. I have to admit, if I were to stick to this for 4-6 weeks, I’d be in pretty good shape. My before photos weren’t nearly as bad as I thought they would be :).

24 Hour Fitness 12 months ago

I just joined 24 Hour fitness and had a free 50 minute training session. The session was great and really informative, but I hate how it’s such a sales pitch. It makes me feel like I shouldn’t trust the person just because I know they are after my money. I guess when I have the money, I will be more open to actually going after this goal. It’s still a dream, but nothing I am going to specifically focus on at this time.

I got the paperwork for a personal trainer at my local fitness center today.

I, actually, kept procrastinating, so my roommate got it for me.

BUT, I hope to have it in by this time next week. <3

Motivation 23 months ago

While I don’t have the money to pay for a personal trainer, I do have a gym membership at my local YMCA and I use the class teachers as my “personal” trainers. I just started taking spin classes and the teachers are awesome and the workouts are INSANE. I don’t think I need the excuse of wanting a personal trainer anymore. What I want now is to keep myself accountable for making it to the classes.



first steps.. 3 years ago

so I have started going to the gym again. I went saturday and sunday, but I guess saturday didnt count, as I was so hung over that I spent most of the time just watching my friend work out while I was “stretching” (..out on a nice yoga mat..)

but today (tuesday) I will go again after work, and then hopefully, (lets see how this turns out) thursday as well.. I cannot believe I have gotten so out of my routines! I used to work out every day! what is wrong with me..

Checked out the personal trainers while at the gym on saturday, I do think I might have to invest some time and money in this..just til I get back on track..



new years resolutions.. 3 years ago

It hasnt even been one week since new years and I am already failing on my work out regime.. although, I WILL go to the gym today! and then tomorrow after the obligatory voting for the new president of Finland I will head down to the gym to continue my fitness regime..

I need a personal trainer. Preferably a sexy guy who will keep me motivated and really make me work up a sweat.

Somehow I do not seem to be able to motivate myself as much by my self as when I have something nice to watch, or who is watching me (even if it is only to correct my technique etc..)

Although, I guess a friend who is as much into sports as I am would do as well..=)
