When I read news I feel I have understood it.
I then go to discuss with my colleagues about it.
I remember the outline, but cannot recall the facts.
The talk from my side then becomes not so believable.
Somehow when I read I do not pay much attention to facts and numbers. And even if I do, they vanish when I try to recite them to someone.
I make an ass of myself, because many of the details are missing and my recitation sounds just as some subjective blah blah.
Don’t know how to get over it.

You know that guy that annoys everyone because he always knows the answer? I want to be that guy.
I’m sick of attending trivia nights and staring blankly at my team mates when a question is asked. However, I’m sure that this skill would be far more useful than just winning a meat raffle at the local pub. A good general knowledge will definitely help my conversational skills as well.
Like at work the other day – meeting a girl from Belarus – perhaps I will be able to say something more than ‘Ah, Belarus…. I…. Have…. no idea where that is’. End of conversation. /crickets
Having a bad GK is really lame.Even if your good in other things what you say and your insight on things is normally what first impresses people. This is my goal and i intend to be a Gk guru.watch me!.lol

There is a lot of thing to know and learn. One that alway interrested me is (everything that goes in and around)construction and renovation.
In fact, I was accepted to a carpenter class, but I decided to take another way. Anyway, since last summer, I have the chance to have a friend who’s alway starting new projects, mainly into buying an old building and give it a fresh touch, so to say. So I’m learning a lot by myself and by working with many different people!

Hoping to continue..
I am not well in gaining (or) knowing any information about what happening around me…so I have to improve my knowledge by knowing something without knowing nothing,.

This is not exactly what I intended first, but I think it’s part of the goal. So as I still have some work to finish before trowing myself into something very new, I’m taking some time here and there to watch movies. Some I wanted to see, some I am told to see… some I heard of, and some from small research. I’m trying hard to remember more than the movie, such as the director, producer, actors…
As I have some memory troubles, it’s both hard and helpful!

Some recent life experiments made me realize that I was in fact really poorly cultured. I think I’m intelligent, but the way I lived my life ‘till then is such that I know very few things… I mean, really know things, not just be able to name them.
So I decided to start improving that! I just started with one or two subject that really interest me, but I intend to learn about as much as I can!
