Finally got my silent mute today, which will make this easier as I’ll actually be able to play when there are other people home.

Yeah, I really failed on this. So, restarting today (08.30.09). Hopefully I can do this…
1: At rehearsal
2: At a sectional 3 years ago
Day 1:
Ran through our show playing a few times. Warmed up and messed around for a bit after that.
Day 2:
Played for about an hour and a half or so at a sectional. Good, long warm-up, so I was able to play pretty high for the entire thing.
Day 3:
No good warmup. Played through all our show music about 3-5 times a piece.
Day 4:
Diddled around a bit, mainly just working through scales.
Day 5:
Ran through our show music. Hopefully I’ll have time soon to just sit down and play for a bit. 3 years ago
Day 1:
Man, it’s probably a good thing I’m doing this. Just 20 minutes of messing around (like playing the old All State auditions and old shows) my chops have died. Gotta remember to properly warm up next time.
Day 2:
Still only practiced for 20 or so minutes, but chops didn’t die. Sight read some pieces in the Arban’s book, and hopefully I can get some time to look them over again tomorrow to make them sound better. I think my tone’s improved from yesterday, so hopefully it’ll keep getting better~
Day 3:
Practiced, like, 10 minutes if that at rehearsal. Stupid drug testing and forms made it so I only got to the last 20 minutes of rehearsal, which is like half announcements. Phooey.
Day 4:
Couldn’t practice because someone was ALWAYS sleeping. To make up for it, I buzzed on the mouthpiece some, and fingered and sang through our new music.
Day 5:
Again, no time or place to actually get the trumpet out. Fingered through the music while marching time, buzzed on a mouthpiece a bit. Tomorrow, I will play to make up for it.
Day 6:
Played through our marching music, marking time and whatnot. Fingered through it with the recording, and played with the recording.
Day 7:
Played some. Not too much though. 3 years ago
