If I hadn’t already stopped eating beef for ethical reasons several years ago, I think this would have convinced me. Although some of the film was poorly acted, I hope it raises consciousness about the issues of factory farming and the terribly ways in which illegal immigrants are violated of their human rights.

Today I found a website for a library that has a great animal rights special collection: http://www.lib.ncsu.edu/animalrights/. I was hoping to find a good bibliography there for titles that might be good to add, but kind of ran out of time. I’ll have to inspect it further.
to Best Friends. I’d really like to go visit there someday but for now, I’m content sponsoring my burro, Virgina. She’s very sweet, from what I hear!
at my library is looking a little shabby, so I’ve done some looking around and spoke with another librarian about adding some more books to the section. I’m having a hard time finding stuff we don’t have that’s been reviewed by a “popular” journal, though, that’s recent. If anyone has some suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
