    I would not consider myself to be overweight but I have gained that old frosh 15…........and 4 years later it is still on me. So basically I want to hit the gym and loose that weight and get bad down to my ideal size.

    I think I am going to start swimming since that is something that I used to love to do therefore it does not feel like exercise.

    I am your body… and to show you just how much you need to get me in shape, I have decided to give you some pain, thats right, embarrassingly I have decided to give out my back in the supermarket to remind you that you really need to do some exercise and stregthen your core…. no better way to get through to you really than excruciating, agonizing pain :-)

    Now go get fit smallysmall!!! Or else.

    On Monday, I drove to my soon-to-be-triathlete friend’s house, and did a 20-minute run with her (ok, I stopped running and walked fast for a minute or two several times). I did better than I expected, though! Then we got on her and her girlfriend’s bikes, and rode for about the same amount of time. Oh man…I hadn’t realized how much I missed riding a bike!! I have one myself, but it’s badly in need of some maintenance. The chain is all rusted, and it may need new tubes for the tires. I’m off to work on that right now!

    Not because I don’t want to be fit and toned… but because when god was handing out the ‘motivation for exercise’ installment for your brain, I was clearly getting an extra dose of ‘motivation to drink’ or ‘motivation to be lazy’ or ‘motivation to day dream’ or ‘motivation to sit and think about being motivated for exercise’....dammit. I will find that installment for my brain soon, somewhere? Maybe I should jump start my brain? Stick some pins in my eyes or something, would that work??

    The motivation I had formerly is no longer there, but I’m still doing my weights every other day, for the most part (I do skip sometimes when my schedule gets in the way). I haven’t been keeping up on my cardio, but I have a close friend who’s training for a triathlon, and I’m going to start running with her several times a week. That should help with the motivation issue. Lately I’ve found myself staying up way too late at night, and eating more than I need to, and so I’ve gained a bit of weight along with the muscle. Gotta get that turned around!

    So I recently began seeing a girl who is currently in the midst of a cross-country bicycling tour…and I’ve vowed to work out every day while she’s gone. I have, too! At first I was doing weights and cardio every day, but then I was informed I’d see better results if I gave my muscles time to heal in between. So now I alternate—weights one day, cardio the next. Even if it’s just a long walk. I’ve completely stuck with it, too, and though I haven’t lost any weight or inches, I have noticed that I’m generally a bit more firm and toned, and my arms in particular are showing a difference. It’s been about a month now…we’ll see where I’m at in two weeks when she’s back!

    part of me wants to be fat a virtual butter ball, and another part want to be thin and toned, muscular and lovely….stretched out and tiny….I have enormous breasts that go better with fat and yet I know it is not good to be overweight…but I want my body to be strong and thin…

    Finally cracked it. N suggested i get up half hour earlier for work so dont have such a rush. Done that for 2 wks now and as soon as i get up i do 150 situps, 20 pressups, 30 lunges and 10 squats.

    Only takes 15 mins and end up feeling so energised for the day. And its free. Now so fit,toned and love my body been parading round naked, N very happy.

    Did leave it a bit late before op but didnt take long to show results and now ive done it i should recover quicker.

    other students noticed id been working out, when i changed in class. (do dressmaking so big part is trying on clothes weve made) top i was fixing had to be taken in a bit as i have start of my six pack coming back. Felt great that all my hard work is now showing.

    Went to gym after work and then sauna – still have it to myself, its great.

    but i know one day it will be like the last place i joined. I went into steam room, couldnt see well as had taken contacts out and very steamy, went to sit down and suddenly the steam cleared and the place was full of hairy men everywhere. It was like gorillas in the mist.
    Felt so stupid but pretended not to mind as they all budged up for me and i squeezed in, as if i do that sort of thing all the time. n then came in, saw me and laughed his head off and walked out.

    went to gym again today after work. Still bit tired from trip to Cornwall, but worth it. Sunday non-stop rain but it was fathers day so dragged my dad, brother and n out to perranporth beach went walking, got quite wet but quite refreshing. Went up cliff until storm clouds descended and knew it was time to get shelter. Barbeque was cooking in Wateringhole on beach so we all stuffed ourselves watching the sea and the few mad surfers left. Was so nice having us all together. Next day walked on fistral while n took photos. So much easier to go walking in gorgeous places.
