My nephew will look very cute I am sure in his little school jumper. I saw him in the hat. Beautiful.
We are still having thirty degree days, but maybe I should think about giving this goal another shot. I need to find that pattern I had …

I finished knitting my first jumper in December. I still need to sew it up but am dependant on my mother being well enough to show me how so I’m marking this Done!
Kitted this Christmas. Chunky wool on size 10 needles, made up the pattern myself and it only took me a week ^^ It’s big and baggy and red and I love it.
I would recommend using a pattern to others who want to do this, unless you want to go for the ‘oversized hobo’ look like I did :) Knitty (http://knitty.com/archive.html) has some very pretty free patterns online. A pattern helps when coming to do things like the neck and sewing it up too – my mum helped me figure those out.
Taz back and ready to go (sort of)
there are 596 people who want to knit a sweater and only 16 of us who want to knit a jumper? :D I guess that’s because a jumper isn’t the same thing to Americans as it is to us lot :) Just thought I share that randomness with you all as I haven’t even cast on a single stitch of my jumper yet :(

My boss was giving some magazines to one of her friends today and I spotted a pattern on the front cover for a wee baby jumper. So I asked her if I could take the page out and I think I just might give this a go. Let’s see now how long the pattern languishes at the bottom of my handbag before I even read the instructions never mind pick up sticks ;)
I’ve knit enough socks for a rugby team, I’m bored of scarves, and have half a dozen unfinished jumpers and cardigans stuffed in bags around the house. But I haven’t managed to finish one. I get scared that they don’t look very flattering, I decide I don’t like the colour/yarn/style, or I get bored.
I would like to complete a jumper.
I’ve pretty much mastered the scarf and the beanie, so I wanted to move onto something a bit more challenging. I found a jumper pattern on the net that looks like it shouldn’t be too difficult. Just have to buy the wool and I can get started.

I’m about half way through the right front of the cardigan but have come to a bit I don’t know how to do – a ‘yarn forward’ in the middle of a row which will, apparently, create a button hole. I’ve put the cardigan aside before I mess it up trying to figure out what I’m meant to do and will take it up to my mum’s at the weekend. So, for knitting relaxation, I’m working on a blanket in Rowan Big Wool
