I ran on the road with Py and her mom for 30 minutes. After a week on the treadmill and adding weight training, I managed to run up the hill a little bit faster.. We will go again this afternoon..

Thursday, 26 November 09: 5 miles, 38.08 mins on the treadmill
today was my 5 mile-slow run. i started at 7.3 mph and picked up the speed along the way until i reached 8.8 mph. i kept speeding to see if my legs would moan if i ran long and fast.. surprisingly, they were doing okay.. when i finally reached 5 miles, my heart beat like it was going to explode.. it felt so great!...

i wanted to try a quick run to see if my legs could cope. yeh, they were doing well while i was picking up my speed.. i think i am going to switch speeding up and slow running. on the speeding-up day, i will try to add strength training too..

tuesday, 24 November 09: 5 miles, 41.04 mins on the treadmill
when i started running this morning, i told myself i was late again and that would leave me a little time to complete 5 miles (which meant i had to rush if i wanted to run 5 miles.). but while running, i saw that the road was still empty at 7.30 am and i could guess that the school was going to close one more day due to the flood on the outskirt of hatyai.. it meant i could open my shop a little bit late and could run longer. so, i slowly ran until i made it to 5 miles…

monday, 23 November 09: 4 miles, 34.00 mins on the treadmill
i was hoping to run 5 miles today after 2 day-break during the weekend.. but when reaching 4 miles, i failed at the temptation to run just 4 miles. felt good, though!
tomorrow, i will have plenty of time to run as i don’t need to bring my cousin to school, so i hope to run 5 miles..

Swam for an hour today. Man…I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo out of shape. I had to pause and catch my breath at the end of each lap. My knee eventually started hurting. Then my other knee joined in. I didn’t catch my second wind until about 25 minutes into it and I was out of breath when I staggered up out of the pool to go flop in the sauna.
Hehe good thing it was kind of chilly outside of the pool or I would probably have quit early! as it is, my wimpiness towards being cold conquered my exercise wimpiness AND my thirstiness. I wouldn’t even get out to get some water! I’m thinking I might bring my bath robe next time!!!
It’s a really nice change from the pool at my old gym (same company}. What a difference location makes. And this one is newer and cleaner, but best of all, the west-facing wall is all windows, so I got to swim in the glow of sundown. Niiiiiiiice.

friday, 20 November 09: 5 miles, 40.30 mins on the treadmill
it was raining while i was waking up this morning. so, i didn’t need to hurry to bring my cousin to school and so i had plenty of time to run. i started at 7.0 mph and then speeded up to 7.5 and kept running until i reached 5 miles. it was my first 5 miles since coming back from holiday. so glad that i could collect myself back to the old running distance.. tomorrow is going to be a run on the hill at home but still not so sure yet, depends on the weather and the mood.. however, among saturday and sunday, i have to run at least 1 day.. happy weekend to everyone!

not the best time but glad that i still could speed up and didn’t hurt any parts of me. i am feeling that the old me is back when i managed to run fast and speed up and no injuries at all. tomorrow is the future but i hope to run 5 miles but slower. need to fuel my motivation before going to bed, so i will get up fresh and eager to run.. however, today is running 4 miles 4 days in a row..

Wednesday, 18 November 09: 4 miles, 30.06 mins on the treadmill.
as i was running late, i tried to speed up to reach 4 miles before 30 mins but i could make it at 30.06 mins. (not bad though!).. if today, i speeded up, tomorrow i have to take it easy which means i have to manage my time better.. will see what will happen tomorrow..

Tuesday 17 November, 09: 4 miles, 32.14 mins on the treadmill.
i started slow at 7 mph and then speeded up to 7.7 mph. i wanted to run as fast as before but am afraid that the legs will get hurt again on the next day. so i will just take it easy. from monday to friday, i try to run slow 4 miles everyday and take a break on Saturday (if Py is around, I chase her instead..)Then, go running on the hilly road on Sunday morning.. or if Py is not around both Saturday and Sunday, I will try to drag myself to run on the hilly road bot sat and sun..
