I supported my brother on his campaign last year, it was fun yet stressful, but at the end it was fun, because all the family got involved.
By the way, he won, my brother is now my hometown’s president! =0)
How I did it: I worked on the Kerry Campaign in 2004 (it still stings at times) and knew folks from that effort. When I got the chance to work in Franklin County, Columbus, Ohio - battle ground state - ground zero for this man I knew I had to mobilize. This time I went out of my mainly middle class neighborhood into a troubled, struggling area of Columbus and worked. VERY rewarding and well worth my time.
Lessons & tips: Don't be nervous, don't be afraid, respect others opinions and dive in!
Resources: The many many foot soldiers on the ground in Ohio and all over the United States with one common goal.

I don’t know that I will ever get this far in politics (considering right now I’m a 23-year-old with no degree at all), but I’d like to.
