i cant do the grouse grind till next year so i’m out of luck. most of my friends have done it and it sounds scary but i think knowing what to expect is probably the biggest thing. you just have to take it slow and not realise that its probably going to take over an hour so pick a pac e you can handle
How to do the Grouse Grind
How I did it: Took the bus with my friend Naureen to North Van and we started the hike and it was harder for her, plus she was scared of the heights but somehow i just kept on walking and had a lot of energy. I think I was the most scared by the gondola lol but it turned out to be ok in the end

Morning after a night out of drinking for my friend Chels birthday, we wake up slightly hungover.
Me: “I feel ill”
Chels: “Me too, and I was up till 5”
Me: “Wanna do the Grouse Grind today?”
Chels: “Okay let’s do it!”
I must say Chels was much speedier than me, but I was just happy to make it to the top! 1 hour 17 mins.
Next goal…..Under 1 hour
its always good to get outside and walkabout.
i don’t walk the grind anymore… too crowded for my preference.
we just completed this the other day- it was awesome! i plan to try it again at the end of the summer and try to impove my time
