I’ve had back problems for 5 years now. I’ve seen the family doctor, I’ve seen massage therapists. Now I think it’s time for a chiropractor. I think something is wrong with the alignment of my spine or something…

How I did it: Thank goodness I went on their "pay what you can" day because this was a complete waste of time. The guy didn't tell me anything I didn't already know, and although he had some innovative ways of cracking my back, it wasn't anything I couldn't have done at home with a friend's help. ...is the condition. Time is the issue between the pain and this goal.
Already went to a physical therapist, and have some simple daily exercises. Already saw a masseuse (once) and indulged in that guilty [temporary] pleasure.
Now for some adjusting, because I’m lopsided.
etherealessence is such a lucky girl!
I did not have a good experience with this at all. I went in 2000 when my back was tweaked out, and not only was the doctor just plain rude, but the adjustments were painful! I had to ice my back for a few days afterwards, and I was not a happy camper.
I know my lower back is not happy a lot of the time, and very rarely it’s extremely displeased. Small solutions before big problems.

Actually, I used to work for my uncle who is a chiropractor. I never felt so healthy in my life! It was great! I highly recomend getting adjustments for maintenance. Its just as important to your health as regular dentist appointments are.
i’ve been talked out of this. mainly for expense reasons – it seems you really need to keep the visits up. i’ve decided instead to have remedial massage when i’m feeling super-tense.
I’ve had 2 appointments now, one of which involved adjustments. She used a new gentler technique that doesn’t involve cracking…uses an interesting machine that sounds sort of like a woodpecker. It’s apparently gentler and more precise. We’ll see. I’m definitely going back.
My whole family had to go after a recent car accident where someone ran up the back of us and we all got whiplash!
I had never been before so it was interesting. I was shocked at how much my body cracked and popped! I’ve never heard that kind of noise in my life! Lol.
She seems to think im more out of wack than the rest of my family. I’ve been twice, and ive got one more appointment next week.
I’m not sure if this has been worth it for my body – i haven’t seen a massive change or anything.. I think i’d really prefer to spend the money on getting a massage or something. But I’ll sign it off as being worth it if even just for the experience of it all.
