Earlier on, I just couldn’t face waiting for sleep. Now, if I’m a little bit tired, all I have to do is fall on bed and I can lull myself to sleep. I don’t waste time.
This has been one significant achievement in my life, although this itself is not enough.
And I have to say, this has happened only because of 43Things. 21 months ago
GIST: I can sleep at will without being disturbed by my own thoughts. But I choose to sleep a little late.
I had a super productive day yesterday – and I overcame some challenges of working. But then, I chose to sleep at 3 in the morning.
Woke up at eight. One of the worst decisions. My entire afternoon was washed off. Woke up at 7 in the evening feeling like shit.
And then the negative thinking kicks in.
Hindsight: It is because of such bad days that I want to sleep early.
I have accomplished sleeping with a calm mind. Now I have to freely fall on bed at 12/1 and let myself go to sleep. With focus on the next day! 21 months ago
If I’m gonna sleep early tonight, I should do something worthwhile before that. I want to feel fulfilled. Perhaps I’ll study Linear Algebra!
That apart, I also need to plan the next week in advance – atleast outlines and bits and pieces of what these are going to be!
The reason for this is – I keep going through the motions of the day and do not sleep even when I feel tired – instead I keep the TV on. I can’t wait for sleep to catch me.
It is sad and pathetic to write, isn’t it?
But that’s all changing today.
Step 1: A change plan for myself
Step 2: Do something I’ll be proud of and love to do
Step 3: Dine, cherish the night and sleep early – completely content.

Not sleeping on time just messes things up.
I guess my problem is that I keep going through the motions of the day and want to watch some more television and keep watching it. I can’t stand myself alone or doing nothing or reading – and I am in college!
You know – one of those distractions?
But these distractions are what are screwing up my future self.
I need a routine. A routine in which I study. I make a schedule. And enjoy the present. There’s nothing else like going to bed with a sweet sense of satisfaction and waking up with a good day to live. :-) 21 months ago
