I need to stop saying srry for the simple fact that i am apologizing for something that is not my fault i just don’t want the fighting.

I even somehow got my kids doing it. Grrr… I am working on this right now.
I say it all the time for no reason, I even say it to my boyfriend. Its like my shield and I need to drop it already.
Me and my mom have been in a lot of fights, and the most recent one ended in me moving 4 hours away. Now she is constantly making me feel bad for my dicision, and I don’t want to say I’m sorry anymore. I’m happy where I’m at and I need to not be so dependant on her.

I say sorry way to much. Like I will say in 3 times in a 15 minute conversation. It drives my friend nuts. She always tells me to not say it all the time otherwise it won’t mean as much when I really should be sorry.

“Wow you’re so much taller then me”
“Sorry!”

I’m horrible for this!!
I bump into someone “Oh sorry!”
Trying to fish out my wallet from my purse “Sorry, It’ll just be a second”
Geez! Enough is enough! Not everything can be my fault!
Instead of blurting out unnecessary ‘sorries’ I’m going to try to say “I apologise” if there is actually something I need to apologise for. I think the problem with me is that saying sorry is so automatic for me.
I figure if I actually have done something wrong then I should apologise for it sincerely. If I haven’t, I’m less likely to blurt out “I apologise” than “I’m sorry” for no reason, which is why I’m switching (where reasonable) to “I apologise”.
