improve my vocabulary

i know all the words, i think them all the time. but when it comes time to say them, they don’t get used properly.

i wanna increase my vocab

I have to improve my vocabulary, both oral and written.

I took a dictionary/thesaurus to the hair salon, where I work part time. I do not like to be without one. Now, there is no excuse not to look up the meaning of a word that is uttered by a well-versed client. :oD

I will do this by doing crossword puzzles and playing word games like Scrabble or literati.

Replacing my trashy, indecent words, with cleaner, more intelligent ones.

I didn’t have enough motivation with the goal of learning a word a week, so perhaps I’ll improve my vocabulary more by adopting this less ‘strict’ goal.

Finishing college, reading more and associating more often with well educated people should help with this.

I believe reading from a challenging text on a daily basis will produce the best results.

So many interesting topics ranging in various levels of comprehension, free on the net….where do I start!?

today my word was foursquare. Which I have to be honest, I thought that was a game kids played on the playground lol.

Meaning: done with conviction

ie: Kelly was passionate about the topic, and was foursquare in her speech.
