How to record my CDs to mp3
How I did it: iTunes is a very easy way to do it, and if you're wanting to start using MP3's, you outta have iTunes anyway.
Just pop your CD into your computer and click the 'import' button on the bottom-right corner of the window.
iTunes should be able to automatically label your song files, but if you end up with a CD that it can't identify, make sure you label the artist and song title ASAP or you won't be happy when trying to find a particular song.
There's also a setting in iTunes if you search that will automatically import audio CDs that you put in your computer. If you're doing a large collection this setting is probably pretty efficient.
Lessons & tips: Save the booklets and discs in a big book if you must, but throw those jewel cases away, they're just clutter once you've switched to digital. Whether you like it or not, it's all probably going to be exclusively digital within our lifetimes.
Keep your iTunes organized, the easiest way to do so is to organize as you rip your CDs.
Get an iPod, and the cords to hook it up to your car and home stereos.
