hello friends… i’ts me, APRIL JOY ORTIZ
How to make puri kura
How I did it: The day after I got to Japan (exchange student), my friend from my home university who'd been here for a semester already took me down to the game center and we went and got purikura done.
It's a little difficult to get used to having to come up with different poses so quickly. Practice makes perfect! The more you go do purikura, the easier it'll be to make stupid/silly poses for any situation!
It takes a few tries to find the poses that work best for you, but once you get the hang of it, you'll know exactly what poses make you look the best.
Lessons & tips: Don't be afraid to go all out and make a silly face or wacky pose.
It's okay to go by yourself if you want to experiment with new poses/faces before having other people see them.
Resources: Game centers, friends, the ability to make stupid faces/poses

A lot of fun! And if you can figure out the machine, especially when it lets you use the IR port on your phone to transmit the photos, you feel about 10x smarter than the average gaijin! I have done this four times, but here is one from the first puri kura session ever, with David in Tokyo.
