The solution is simple and elegant, so I know it’s right. There are a whole bunch of procedural, business type questions that I need answered now, plus he needs to send me a spreadsheet of all his stock so I have something to upload into the database.
Going to spend the rest of today reading up on security and going live … eeep!
I want to have Phase 1 completed before the end of March, ideally before then but that’s the deadline.

The basic form to take in search requirements is created. Just need to define the search itself and knock up a couple of different formats for the results page.
I love Ruby on Rails. Still a lot of tricky stuff to work out, like linking in to Paypal, but the database is created, the shopping cart works, it’s starting to look reasonable. I’m getting there :o)
His web hosting service doesn’t support Ruby. So now I’ve got to help him find a new one that does.
The hold up is getting SQL running properly. I must be missing something.
Nothing major to report but the over all structure is developing and we have cute mascot.
We’re getting some inventory loaded and that is taking time, but the look is coming along. I need to get on with the Ruby because it’s going to need some serious back end coding.
