Travel on Trans Siberian Railway

That this was the first goal I put up and yet I never wrote an entry. I mean how crap is that?

Basically I just fancy getting an idea of how enormous and vast a country Russia is. I work on a railway anyway so this is a bit of a busman’s holiday but this trip would be like nothing else. To take several weeks to get to Vladivostok would be great. I imagine that I would meet interesting people (rather than get held up at gunpoint), share amusing anecdotes (rather than be robbed blind when I was drunk on vodka) and of course learn Russian in a few weeks (rather than talk loudly and slowly, using my phrasebook and pronouncing things poorly). All I need is a bit of advice, that Palin bloke might know, best I call the BBC!
