Organize my personal and financial files

Knowing where your crap is stored is “Serenity Now”.

Wow I really like organization and I have a pretty cool system that works for me. I have two bank accounts and two jobs, each job deposits into the savings account at each bank. I use the income on one job for my normal costs of living, the other is purely for savings. I don’t touch the second bank account and it has a high yield savings rate. I’m considering moving to more high yield methods of returns with my savings money.

I’m becoming more financially independent. I pay all my bills, but fortunately I can live with family for now. I set savings goals and achieve them, otherwise I punish myself for failing to reach those goals. Let me know if you want more tips :)

everything is in beautiful files as of a few weeks ago… but now i have more paper to sort into the files, sitting in a big-ass pile.

It’s cleansing….you find all kinds of stuff and get rid of all kinds of things too

I organized my entire office, and categorized all my files into folders which are neatly placed in a desk drawer. Amazing how much space you save and how fast your can find information when done correctly. I recommend visiting Staples (or some other office supply store) and get hanging folders and a file box (if you don’t have a file cabinet).

This is also requires on-going discipline. Each day when you receive any statements in the mail, make sure they go directly to the appropriate folder in your file cabinet.
