I used to ride and it was an absolute thrill. There is something about working with an animal that is simply wonderful. I need to find a place where I can ride regularly. I think it would truly cheer me up after a bad day.

I love the thrill of it…rode as a teen and got bitten again when we took a surfside ride in Jamaica

One of my other goals for when I am settled back in the US is to find a place where I can go horseback riding – and committ to doing it on a weekly basis if I can manage. Could be a tough one but we will see :) I litteraly cannot wait to ride again.
If anyone know any good place to take lessons in the NYC/Long Island area, let me know!

I’m going to go horseback riding in Monteverde, when I go to Central America. :P
It’s a start.
i used to horseback ride everyday and really enjoyed it. THEN i moved away to college. Now ive moved back to an area where i can have my horses close and i’d love to be more active with them. Currently i go out i feed them i brush them but i hyavent been as inclined to ride…maybe its the hauling of the saddles from the basement that deters me….
First step…get something to store the tack in to make it easier to get to.
2nd step…less snow
I used to take lessons, but the ranch I rode at sort of went under. It’s been at least 3 years since then, and I’m still dying to ride again.
Problem is, everywhere I’ve looked costs heaps, and with college coming up to pay for… well, let’s just say I’m broke and my parents won’t oblige to pay for lessons again right now.
But I’m not giving up, not yet.

I really want to go trail riding. It might be a good way to get me excited about horsebackriding again. It’s been at least 4 years :( . I’m gonna look up places around my area that do trail rides.
