DJPimpDaddy is sick of refering to himself in 3rd person.
I just want to sleep in all the time. Perhaps I need more exercise.
How I did it: It was pretty, simple: I just chose to not push it anymore. I read stories about people that break the button, put the clock radio across the room, or worse. In the end, just getting a good nights rest and a conscious decision to get up when it goes off wins.
Lessons & tips: Go to bed regularly and get at least 6-7 hours of sleep. Don't skip on the weekends. Make sure your time is correct on the clock and don't set it too early.
Resources: A great pillow.

By just getting up when the alarm went off, I was able to do some laundry, work a bit more on some videos I am rendering, and empty the dishes before work. I am a bit more tired than usual, but I feel like a I accomplished a lot so far today. Hell, I even got to work too early. I sat in my car and played 20 minutes of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.
Perhaps the secret is twofold, go to bed at a consistent and reasonable hour, and then just get up instead of snooze…
Can’t wait to see what I get done tomorrow.

I am suspecting that this partially has to do with lack of sleep, poor health, and laziness. I can correct all 3 in time, but I also just need to break the habit as well. I will start by adjusting my bedtime and by not intentionally sleeping in on my days off. Hopefully this will also help with my goals of being more active and eating healthier.
Fortunately I don’t have to get up for work…. but on an average day, I’ll hit the snooze alarm 5-10 times…. which makes for nearly a full hour of lying in bed peacefully for 5 minutes and then being jarred back into reality, only to drop into psuedo-sleep again.
I think my record currently is 14 times in a row.
Wednesdays seem to be especially difficult. I find it so hard to get up when the alarm goes off and today decided to just sleep and come in to work later. Luckily I have that option. What will it take to get up at 6:30 every workday?
