The Lips are coming!!!! On the 29th of July they are coming to Melbourne = I’M ESTATIC! :) looking forward to ticking this one off!!
How to see the Flaming Lips live

How I did it: i bought tickets online and drove my happy ass all the way to oklahoma on new years :D
though it took some time for the tickets to FINALLY arrive (due to my last minute shenanigans!)
a friend and i went on a 20 plus hour road trip, toughing i out att he rest areas and public bathrooms.
it was well worth it...
i would've gone even farther.
Lessons & tips: don't wait last minute. the sooner you buy your tickets, the cheaper.
we paid 70 bucks a pop for 20 dollar tickets.

I’ve been wanting to see The Flaming Lips in concert (on New Years Eve) ever since I was about 17. The thing is I’ve either been under 21 and/or not had enough money to fly to a show. This sort of thing will take proper planning since I don’t know if they’ll be having a show this year (or next year for that matter!).
I’m not into all that furry stuff I’ve seen in press photos though. My greatest fear would be that someone on acid punches me in the face. Other than that, I’m sure it will be a blast!

i could just about die the moment the concert was over and know i lived a fulfilling life :]
only, the last time they were in my area i had no idea -and so the wait continues sigh

and each time is more and more fun. Wayne and the boys really can put on a show. Red rocks this year was especially fantastic

I haven’t seen the Lips live in about 10 years. I’ll be there in Tulsa, Friday, July 27 to see them again. Can’t wait. Best live band ever.

In my 30+ years of going to concerts and club shows, last month’s ‘Lips show was the most fun I’ve ever had. They put a lot of thought and effort into not only making sure you hear great music, but that you have a blast as well. I rate them up there with U2 as an experience not to be missed. I cannot recommend them enough.
