I went to Game 2 of the 2006 World Series where the Detroit Tigers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals. Unfortunately for me and the Tigers, Detroit lost the series 5-1. It cost me $400 a ticket, but it was totally worth it! An experience I will never forget!

How I did it: I have been a Colorado Rockies fan since day one. I went to the first two games the team ever played. They were both on the road against the New York Mets (It helped that I was living in New York at the time). I also went to the first game ever played at Coors Field back when it opened in 1995 (I was living in Colorado then). I won tickets through work and my girlfriend and I went to game 3….I live in Denver, so it was a little disappointing, but it was still pretty awesome to be part of. Totally worth doing!

The Tigers have lost six games so far. All six games of the season. Wow.

The Padres got swept in four games and the final game was in Jack Murphy Stadium. But, it was such an experience. After the game the Padres fans stayed and cheered on the pads to come back out after the game. All the players came out and showed their appreciation it was amazing.

Not looking so good for one being in my backyard this year. And if the World Series isn’t played at Comerica at all, I can’t go this year. Come on, Tigers, win ‘em all!
