Julie is procrastinating (as usual).
I have combination skin. I’m using PURPOSE facial cleanser, then Merlot Grapeseed moisturizer. About once a week, I use aspirin and a toothbrush to exfoliate my face.
How I did it: Went to the doctor, got three different potions and pills, and in a few months it's gone. I've been off them for two months and I'm still fine – the odd spot here and there but nothing like before. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I have never had bad skin, but I since I went tanning religiously from ages 13-20.5 I wanted to make sure I wasn't made of leather by 40. Even I'm only 21 I started using an anti-wrinkle face wash and it did wonders! It's from neutrogena, I highly recommend it. Read how I did it…

I used MK in the past and it worked, but I feel like I had to use too many products, and my skin was never satisfied.
Now it’s time for some trial and error. It’s a combined approach. It;s been a month since I started using this product line for a month, and I’m still tweaking the products. I’ve found a night regimen that heals and improves my skin overnight, but the day part needs working out. My pores are shrinking and my skin looks smoother overall. There’s less oil during the day, but I still get irritations. I have more skin troubles when I don’t get my 8 glasses of water and 8 hours of sleep, so I really make an effort in those areas.
But, honestly, is it natural to wake up with a face like an oil slick? Under that layer, my skin looks great, and my makeup artist friend says it’s a good thing, that my skin is detoxing. That’s lovely, but can I narrow down what bad things I’m putting in my body in the first place?
teasel is gearing up for the overhaul
Doing the acne.org regime every day, using AHA cream, and possibly getting some professional treatments later on.
i actually HAD the product for months, just didnt use it. and i dont have acne.. like at all, but i obsessively pick at any little bump on my skin, and they get worse and worse. ive got a couple little hole-like scars on my nose and such. i guess if i actually get rid of the tiny unnoticable bumps that there are, maybe i wont pick :/ but yeah, proactiv, today is day 3, and its already working quite well
I’ve started using the French skincare brand Avene, and it has been working wonders. Also drinking lemon water every day I believe is helping :) Much better than using Clinique.
last year I had a massive skin outbreak – chronic eczema due to stress. My skin is scarred and dry and crap – so I have to improve that. Will moisturise my whole body 3 times a week !

After a year of hell and the worst skin, I took accutane and it worked for me. I was sceptical but i have never had a break out since and that was 5 years ago. I now wake up and dont ever worry it has changed my life.
Melissa Maples has hit the ground running.
This is one of those things that’s so simple and so difficult at the same time. Drinking water and using moisturiser are not huge deals, but for some reason I rarely seem to get around to them. I also want to do something about the monthly breakouts that coincide with my cycle, and the anxiety-driven bouts of dermatillomania I suffer from sporadically.

to find a simple routine that works for ME.
i did the oil cleansing method, which really helped my skin, but it was too much of a hassle, and impossible in hot alabama summers.
in the past few months, i’ve found a routine that, so far, is working for my combination skin (the oily is REALLY oily, the dry is REALLY dry). i won’t know for sure until the season changes if this is a good routine.
