I volunteer once a week at the Literacy Council as a tutor helping a student taking English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. The student is very sweet and eager to learn.

I’ve done this before, but it’s been a while and I want to get back to it. I love to crochet and can’t watch a movie at home without having sewing or crochet handy. I want to take a lot of my yarn stash and turn it into blankets to donate to my local Project Linus chapter. I want to warm up a few kids who are sick and make them happy and feel loved, too.

I want to travel the world helping under-privileged kids learn about themselves and life and be a positive influence on them so that they learn they can do whatever they want if they put their mind to it. This is something I hope to achieve in the next 3 years.
