How I did it: My family just felt like going to DC. We stayed with my aunt in Maryland and then caught the Metro (DC's subway) to Washington. It was really an incredible experience. Even if you don't feel the crazy, insane, surreal connection to your country that you think you're supposed to, if you love this country it's a site you need to see. Especially if you majored in history like my dad did at UC. He was 47 and running around lik… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I went with my class in 8th grade. We saw the huge cathedral. It was amazing, and the glass windows.. wow! I saw the unknown soldier, and watched the guard pass it over and over again. Kind of sad.We went to Gettysburge.. boring.Went to Arlington Cemetary, very sad. So many people there..Saw the White House and actually got to go inside.Saw a lot more.. the regular big landmarks. I saw the White house from 66 West but because I was so lost… I couldn’t actually find it. The traffic blows here. I’d like to come back one day when I have more time, like on a personal trip, not business.

But, unfortunately the only thing I’ve seen is Dulles airport. I have been working so hard during the day that I haven’t been motivated to go when I’m done working. Plus, it sucks by yourself.

My whole life I have dreamed of going there. I have also always wanted to be a poloticion and so I think that it will be a very educating trip as well as a fun trip.

Went about 10 years ago. Was too young to appreciate it..but from what I remember it was a great city.

I loved it, period.
Very metropolitan, without the craziness that you’d imagine in NY.
I didn’t get the chance to actually go INSIDE the White House.. I think that tour has been discontinued. I’m not sure, though
Anyway it was amazing so ya’ll should go!!

i just got back a few days ago.
i had a great time!
i stayed for five days and visited all the landmarks.
i must say my favorite thing was the holocaust museum and busch gardens right outside of DC was tons of fun.
very enjoyable!
