Rewrite that fucking short story I've had so much difficulty revising

We had some bits of waiting time here and there, and I’ve worked out a plan for approaching the rewriting. We have another day of moving and cleaning, and finding winter tires for the new vehicle, and other errands, but by tomorrow, I’ll be able to really settle in and work on all these projects.

would be to somehow write a short story about the bizarre range of responses I’ve had to it. The ending has been called “erotic”, “so terribly sad”, “romantic”.

None of those were what I was aiming at. I thought it would make people laugh. Nope.
