And I still love my ‘new’ hair! I don’t hink a day has gone by when I have truely regretted getting it done. Well almost, the otherday, about a week ago, I sat talking to my sister, saying how uch I missed having pic n drop in my hair, and how I’dlike them in just oonce more, but that was short lived – coz immediatley after I’d mentioned it, the words retracted and I fuzzed my hair around and uttered.. Naaah! I like my hair this way. And it’s true!
Thanks Liz ( my Loctian) for doing such an incredible job on my hair, and thank you God, for blessing me with nappy thick hair that takes so kindly to this look!
yeay!!!!

I had my consulation last month and I have been rocking natural hair for about 3 months. It is getting to the point of looking like a hot funky mess right now but I am dealing with it. I will have to sit for 20 hours but I am excited. I will keep you posted on how it turns out.

SisterLocks
I’ve been natural for nearly a year now and everytime someone has approached me about getting dreads it has been a resound “no” – my reasoning, I don’t want anything that permanent. But every since I’ve seen the many colors and styles of SisterLocks, my fear of committment has banished. I want them. I’ve researched and researched – that’s just me. Goodness, it will be some months – I’ll treat it like window shopping, if I’m still thinking about them on my b-day (Dec 10) I’ll get them.

I saw it, I wanted it, I found a consultant whilst out salsaing..I’ve been lucky. Haven’t had to wait as long as everyone else for the appointment.
I’ve had a consultation ( although no test locks were put in – hummmn. but I’ve spoken with my consultant who’s like. ‘the way I see it. If you’ve done over a hundered heads of hair and you still can’t tell what kinda locks you should be putting in.. then you need to quit! point taken!) and the appointment booked. 31st Oct ( well it’s over two days cos I’ve got such thick hair. Or like my sister pointed out. A big head!) but it will be completed on the 31st – a day of mnuhos significance throughout my adult life I’ve noticed. Hummmn…
But I’m anxious!
I’m a little bit relieved to read that someone managed to take it out after a year – although it took her two weeks. I’m just glad it can be done! Patience is a virtue after all!
Will keep you posted.
Good Lord! The nerves are creeping in.

Of my installation. I waited two months for my appointment. I can’t wait to see what the finished product will look like. I will hard time wearing a short hair for a while. (I cut 5 inches of my hair off) But I’ll get use to it.

The Sisterlocks bug finally hit me. I’ve been natural for about 4 years and tried every style you can imagine. In Nov. 2005, I decided I was ready to loc. Well, my hair had other ideas. I have a loose curl pattern so traditional loc’ing didn’t work for me. Fast forward to December 2006 and I finally got my Sisterlocks and I’ve never been happier!
It truly is life-changing and you look great and feel better. If you’re thinking about getting them, don’t wait any longer!
Just Do It!

Makes your hair grow like crazy because you don’t comb/brush.
But after 6 years now, I’m taking them down.
Might do it again in a few years :D
