figure out how to style my hair

Made the mistake of getting a too tight perm then not washing it out. It’s superfrizz. And I refuse to pay to get it burnt any more. But I have this ongoing struggle with my hair, color style all of it. Right now I’m just pulling it up all the time. Wish I could find a look that works and is cute.

I Wanna know about how my hair can be

..I`ve tried:
braids (+ nice :),
locks (+/- look super good but for a short time…),
pony tails (+, they manage to survive) ,
sort-of-pony-tails (++ love them!),
buns (+ my favourites:)),
bands (+/- nice but SO doesn`t like them:P),
hairpins (- I don`t know:/),
flowers (big +, small -;)),
headscarfs ( +/- I have lots of them but I`ve noticed my ears hurt when I wear them too often;P)...

huh… Now I can see that there are so many things going on on my head.. which is kind of fun – changing my image definitely cheers me up:)

The easier – the better. This is what I realized about styling my hair. I used one ribbin to get part of them together and looked totally different _ . Like a pony tail, but different, and it managed to survive since I didn`t `use` all my hair:D It was for our ladie`s night and girls just couldn`t stop complementing;)

I spent an hour yesterday styling my hair for Christmas party. Little hesitated, but made locks. I`m not a huge fan of this, well – not on my head a least, since I know that I`ll end up looking like 4th Charlie`s Angel.. or like a model you can put on the cover of 80`s magazine for crazy hairdressers. Anyway.. thank God I finished 40 minutes before my family arrived, so my hair managed to get … em. Flat? I had quite nice locks, it was good experience, but I want to find a better way to style my hair.. so I don`t look like poodle;)

My hair is a mess. It`s heavy and thick , no matter what I do with it, the effect won`t last longer than 2 hours. On one hand it`s great to have such a healthy hair but on the other – I can`t even make a stupid pony tail. Argh. And I want to look nice and different for the new year`s party;/

All I can say is wow …

EDIT: I did not really shave my head, the above image is edited and was posted because I was curious how realistic looking it was so if you have any comments I’d love to hear how it came off to you when you first saw it.

I finally got around to getting my hair cut after having pictures taken in its unmanageable mess that I was starting to hate enough to want to shave my head merely to get rid of it. In the end however I went with a traditional men’s haircut (scissor cut to the short side but longer than a buzz cut) and no regardless of how many requests I get I am not going to be posting the long hair mess pictures on 43 Things.

Upon further thought I realized that the whole head shaving considerations were too shallow to be seriously take action upon as it was only the idea of the radical act of shaving that seemed somewhat attractive at the time. Yet I had not given any thought to the issue of whatever or not I would like and actually wanted a shaved head.

As to the issue of growing out my hair I don’t think I’m physically able to grow it out in a way that I’d like, as despite not cutting my hair for over a year I’m surprised by how short it still is in the front compared to the back which shows how much faster my hair is growing in the back. Which I’m guessing means that I could only really grow out my hair into a mullet or a thin guy ponytail, both of which look stupid in my opinion compared to a longer all over flowing hair style that attracted me enough to consider growing it out in the first place. Thus it appears that the only thing left that I wouldn’t mind is to get it cut to a more traditional guy length and I decided to go for the slightly longer traditional scissor cut as compared to the shorter summer buzz cuts. Although I still need to get the pictures taken of my hair as it is now before I get it cut and then get it cut. I’ll mark off this goal as completed after its been cut.
