Have a messy dinner party with no utensils available

There is something about eating with your hands that simply makes the food taste better. I learned this from my mom (who swears by salad eating while standing talking in the kitchen). Besides-both manners AND hedonism are sexy at their respective appropriate times, ya know? ;)

Yummy goodness and good times had by all.

While at SANAE we had supper one night on this theme. We dressed up as savages and ate our supper (leg of lamb, jacket potatoes, peas and carrots) without untensils. We did have a carving knife.

And then there was the time in the Army … but it’s not for sensitive viewers.

but want to make it a more elaborate party. The last time I did it I served spaghetti and meatballs and a salad…simple, but served its purpose. Interestingly enough, only males responded to the invite; I guess it appealed to that primal animal that lurks in the heart of them..Anyhow, it was the best messiest fun I’ve had in a while; I need to plan another one.
