take acting lessons

im in middle school right now but i want to get some experience in acting for auditions coming up soon but i have no idea what to do

i have no money and would never be able to afford taking lessons for acting. but ts my numbe rone favorite thing to do. i like to be onstage, behind stage, doing anything in the theatre. its scary at first, but using that fear makes me hapy that i can be great. but i fear also never being able to go far because i dont have formal training.

Hi,
My name is Iris and I’m 15 years old. When I was a little girl I always had the dream to become an actress. I knew that this wasn’t just a dream, I really wanted (and still want) to become an actress. Three years ago I started to take acting lessons to find out if I really liked acting and if I have talent. Every week I go to this theatre school and I like it so much! I’m not only going there because I feel I have to, but also because we have so much fun, we learn so much every week, we just have a really great time there. Here in Holland (I’m Dutch _dutchgirl) a lot of famous actors and actresses have been taking acting lessons at this school. It’s cool to know that those people have come to this school before they became actors/actresses.
In a few months I’ll have to do an audition and this will give me the opportunity to be in a real play ( one where not only family members and friends come to watch it but also people we don’t know).
If you want to become an actress it’s important to take acting classes to find out if you really like doing it.

After all that’s been done, Ihave to make it claer now what I really want to do. I wan to take acting lessons and try acting for a time but I also have other dreams in my mind that is becoming a social. i do not know if I’m gonna be good in both fields but that’s what I intend to do. Question is, will take another year to pursue them? I don’t think so. I have a drive that keeps me up on my feet and once I find the right time which is not gonna be long enough, I will prioritize the stuff I like to do more.

OMIGOSH! My first entry was dated a year back and I still haven’t done this. I haven’t even got the chance to step foot inside an acting studio. Oh no… I mean if I really really want to do this, I should have been on the next level already. Probably requires more courage and determination in order to accomplish this goal

I’ve done acting lessons and I’ve done improv classes and I’ve done acting classes that included improv. For a beginner, I’d totally recommend trying out a Comedy Sportz class or find a Theater Sports group in your area and try them. Other improv classes might be good, but like any class, things depend a lot on the teacher and the program.

Another thing you might try if you’re more into serious acting is just sign up for a spot in a community theater. It’s a lot of time, but you’ll get way more out of the experience than a class. And then taking a class will be more rewarding.

i think this is a great goal. i took a beginning acting class last fall. it was filled with students who had performed throughout their high school career and they were quite cocky. I am somewhat older with absolutely no experience. I made a complete fool of myself but i learned a very vauable lesson- it’s apparently not the end of the world. It also gave me more confidence to speak in classes and I got a part for the college play. It was small but I had fun and proved something to myself.
