Despite my severe procrastination, I managed to finish decorating a box for my mom. It’s what I gave her her other presents in, but served as a present in itself. It felt nice to be creative again…. even if it did keep me up late into the night on Christmas Eve.
I had started a box project for my bestfriend/roommate too but didn’t get very far. I gave it to her anyway and explained that I’d be taking it back and finishing it at some point soon. I also gave her spice jars filled with sand and shells from our Florida trip, I burned her cd’s I thought she’d like (also did this again for mom), and got some pictures printed from throughout our friendship.
Other homemade gifts include: beer bottle cap magnets, cookies, and a beer bottle cap covered picture frame with pictures for my work friend B.

The ariel FINALLY was done yesterday and we no longer have to scrape ourselves around the living room floor constructing towers of books and boxes to balance the indoor ariel just to get a semi-signal for bbc 1. It’s like a miracle, it just works.
Acupuncture, after 5 sessions and see-sawing of a few days of brilliance and then back to being a 15 year old I was beginning to think this is not working and was thinking to cancel the next session when I received an email that the practise was being closed mid December but they could squeeze me in for 2-3 sessions before closing? Since the last time I went I was told I didn’t need to come for 2 weeks being told they could squeeze me in just felt like they wanted to rake in as much money before closing, so I cancelled the last appointment and I seem to be back at square one with this.
As for the rest I don’t see myself getting anything else on the list done before the end of 2009

So I’m almost halfway through my meditation book (progress on #5) and am starting to understand the practice a bit better. I also ‘meditated’ today for about 10 minutes and am planning on doing a little calisthenics/stretching before I go into work (#8). Annnnd I just flossed (#7)! I ran out of cigarettes yesterday and am going to see how long I can go before (if I must) buy another pack (#4). I also started making/gathering Christmas gift stuff yesterday and am about to make a list of ideas today (#1).
All in all, I think I’m doing pretty well for my December/2010-deadline goals. However, I’ve also chosen to focus on the easier goals, while leaving the tougher goals (#2, 3, 9, and even 6) for a later time, per usual. Hopefully I will stop procrastinating and get them all done by the end of the year.
I just figure (especially with ones like #4, 5, 7, and 8) that once I get in the habit of doing them it’ll be easier to keep it up— and it’ll be easier to enter a new year, and a new round of resolutions, with some healthy habits already established.

I had my third acupuncture session today, the second two weeks ago resulted in a massive headache and going to bed for most of the day. However without wanting to ‘jinx’ anything about a week ago. The worst patch of skin has suddenly cleared up! As in the best it’s looked and felt for I don’t know how long, it’s still rubbish elsewhere but I’m quietly very excited by this.
When I went today she said my circulation is excellent and has improved so much! I didn’t know it was a problem! anyway she could also see the skin improvements. Sleep though is still rubbish and she promised that will improve.
No headaches so far which is good – we shall see…

I had my first session – I really had no idea what to expect other than I’d resemble a pin cushion. I really liked the lady as in she seemed really confident that this was a simple thing to resolve and that she would sort it for me. Apparently I have too much heat in my body which is causing the skin flare ups and my ying and yang are out of balance. After the consultation she also said she’d work on my sleep – I can go to sleep but can’t stay asleep – and also my energy levels which at the appointment where non existent. She knew from my foot that I drank too much coffee?
And has advised that I reduce this to 3 per day! am already on number four this morning and she is going to send me a list of foods she’d like me to eat.
She said my skin would be worse this morning – and it is! It’s horrific! But apparently that’s all part of the process. I have another appointment booked but I really hope this sorts everything out.

There are some things that have been swimming around that just never get done and I’m bored of them popping into my head and I’m very bored of my automatic response ‘oh must get round to that!’ and then nothing happens so by the end of the year sort the following out!
1. The bloody Ariel
It fell off the roof, I don’t know, 3 mins after we moved in 2 years ago? So we have an indoor one and depending on cloud coverage, rain, the type of vehicles passing by it directly reflects what channels we can view, for how long without that annoying cracking noise and whether or not we just see a black screen with ‘no signal’ floating about. Why not just get it fixed? Or a new one?
2. Dentist
Have a consultation, can the ‘issue’ be fixed yes, no, maybe, affordable yes, no, maybe… FIND OUT!
3. Glasses
How much longer is this goal going to fester on the list, set a date and go to the glasses shop not specsavers as I dislike them
4. Skin
Conventional medicine worked but it can’t be right to stay on antibiotics indefintely, tried all sorts of cosmetics, cleansers, blah aren’t doing anything. Try the alternative. Book an appointment
5. Home
We know a professional, can any of the ideas we have be implemented? Yes, no, maybe? Why don’t I just ask them to come and have a look? Get number from S
Ok this list will be added to as there are a few more things to be done!
