Non as good as Robert Jordan’s Wheel of time, but very good indeed.

Geez, who would have known this would be so hard? Normally I love reading, and if I like the book I finish it in no time. But this one…I guess Harry Potter wasn’t as exiting and adventurous as I thought it would be. But I will finish it. I have to, so I can cross this goal off. :P
yahoo for Harry Potter! i loved it after years and years of thinking they were going to be a waste of time. I’ve read all that have come out and seen all the movies (though not as great as the books at all) and can’t wait for #7!!!
Purplenails tiddly pom, tiddly pom.
I was bought a first edition for my 11th birthday, but my mother had bought for her 8 year old godson and so I associated it with babiness and everyone believing I did nothing but read books. So I returned it and bought some hippy clothes instead. We are forever haunted by the ghost of that first edition-although it would have been grizzled and disgusting by the time we realised it was a first ed. Anyway think I read the book once my sister got it and really loved it and now I’m a big fan. I guess this shows you should try things before you judge them.

It was childish slightly tedious, plus I’m not really into fantasy reading material. So I’m sure I would have enjoyed this book a lot more when I was eleven, but it was still pretty well written. Good job, R.K.
The first book in this series is very simple compared to the rest, and it’s a great place to start if you want to read the entire series.
I recommend that you read this book as the entire series has been pretty fun to read so far.
The books are different than the movies, so if you’ve seen the movies and assume that the books are of the same caliber, then you would be incorrect. Try the books and you’ll probably like them much more.
It took the pre-midnight frenzy that accompanied the release of Harry Potter 5 to do it, but I finally bought and read Harry Potter 1. Nice book (although a bit hard to see what the worldwide fuss is about).
Finally I’m done with that book! Now I can go read my other things, guilt free. Maybe even Pattern Recognition, if i ever find it again.
Up to page… I dunno, somewhere between 160 and 170 I think. Closer though!!
or perhaps just a teaspoon. Either way I’ve had this book for many months and I’ve been really trying to get through it, but I haven’t even reached page 100 yet. Meanwhile I’ve made it though several other novels which I started after picking this one up. Ah well… now that I’ll be on the LIRR again I’ll have the time to do this.
