I’m looking for a small city…not the really huge metropolitan areas although Boston has always intrigued me. Somewhere in the northeast would be good—I want a place where there is stuff happening but not so big that I’d be helplessly lost (I’m a country girl at heart). Any suggestions?? haha impossible, I know…

How I did it: I was born in Los Angeles. I didn't have to do anything, really. I think my mom and grandparents actually did most of the work for me. I'm glad they moved here, though. I wouldn't have it any other way. Read how I did it…

singeclectic Mad Love!
san francisco, denver, portland, seattle, chicago, philadelphia, new york city. preference in that order.
Made it to Buffalo, New York and living in the Elmwood area is definitely better than the suburbs. With all the culture and friendly people and strangers to talk to, it’s so amazing.
This looks like a definite possibility since I’m going to college in Buffalo next year. It sounds so fun and so thrilling! Yeah it might be dangerous with crime, but with a few friends and staying in safe areas it shouldn’t be a problem.
I hope to do this sometime this year. I’ve always lived in the suburbs and it often gets boring and isolated out here. There’s so much happening in the city with so many different types of people. It even has culture!
living in philadelphia, for a little over a month now. so far so good… lovin’ it!
oh my freaking goodness, i have finally accomplished a goal, a thing even! so yes, the unintentional queen of the suburbs has finally taken up city living. now that i’ve done it, i have no idea what i was afraid of in the first place. i now realize my random, inane worries (like my absolute anxiety over being able to get groceries in the city) were completely unfounded. i guess if we are ruled by the fear of the unknown, we can convince ourselves that anything is a deterrent. anyway, this was a great step for me, and i highly recommend a change of scenery to anyone else feeling stifled by their surroundings.
I live in Sao Paulo, Brasil, which is described as the Nova York de America do Sul (N.Y. of South America) Love the city life, you can get anything at any time, if you know how to work it.
Seriously, I live 3/10s of a mile from my work place, and because of traffic, it can sometimes take 10 minutes to get there. Lets not even talk about how I have to leave 25 minutes early just to get to class on time. Crime is a HUGE problem in the city. My friend’s sister, and brother in law were murdered for no reason outside of their home. Theyre drug dealers everywhere. Infact, the cops just arrested a rape suspect when he was sellin’ cocaine to minors at a mall, while holding his baby! Seriously, when I lived in the country, and went to a smaller school, I never heard of people doing coke when they were 16 or 17, but it’s not uncommon here where I moved! It was better in Pikeville, NC.
