I had an instructor tell me a few months ago that I make negitive choices in every character play. I dont know what ticked me off most about that was whether I knew it was true or that the person who made this critique does not even know that well and he was able to pick up on this habit.
I am anatural pessimist, but I dont like the fact that it is so evident that I let it get in the way when it comes to my work.

Practice makes perfect 4 years ago

If I continue focusing on what is important to me lately I will consequently continue to think positive and viceversa…
Does make sense, believe me…

i got this notion from a book 4 years ago

i read this book about positive thinking and how it helps a great deal in achieving whatever it is that we want. it actually helped me a lot because somehow it changed my outlook. the change was gradual but i grew more optimistic and waking up and going to work didn’t seem such a burden anymore. and besides, there’s really no point in harboring negative thoughts/energy coz that would be ultimately destructive. the mind is actually a very powerful thing. it is able to output anything based on what you put in. so i started thinking positively and started reaping great results out of that

From Father Leo... 4 years ago

I suppose the best way to learn a thing is to do it, practice it, demonstrate it, make it real in
our lives. Spirituality needs to be experienced, not talked about. You cannot learn
spirituality, get spirituality from a famous guru, read and acquire spirituality from a
book—spirituality needs to be discovered in our lives. It needs to be found in body,
sexuality, sweat, anger, morning exercise and kneeling in prayer and gratitude at the end
of the day.

God, may You be real in my life.

Bright spots
Look closely, and you will see the bright spots in this day. Give your attention, your thoughts and your efforts to those bright spots, and they will grow even brighter.

Look closely, and you will see the positive possibilities in this moment, in this situation. Focus your energy on the good and valuable things you can do now, and the best of those possibilities will become real.

Though many circumstances may not be perfect, there are perfectly good, positive, life-affirming responses available to you. Respond to life from a perspective of love, and your response will have real, lasting power.

Life is rich and complicated, ever-changing and coming at you from every direction. You always have the opportunity to make the very most of it all.

You can grab on to those bright spots and nurture them toward magnificent proportions. In the midst of all the noise and confusion, you can take a glimmer of hope and build it into a dominant force.

Whatever may be going on in your life, there are bright spots that you can find and build upon and utilize to create great value. Even now those bright spots are there, ready for you to develop into something truly special.

God is the source... 4 years ago

God is the source of life and stregth within me. I am healed.

God is the source of life within me. God is all I need. God is healing me now. God gives me the wisdom I need to make sound judgements about my well being in all matters and about all that matters to me.
These are really powerful affirmations for healing.
My mind is healed of wrong thinking
My body is healing, from the tip of my toes to the top of my head. All organs, all cells and all fluids work together for my body’s health and well being.
The healing life of god is active within me. God is the true source of my health and strength- physically and mentally. I claim and give thanks for my healing now.
” I am going to bring it recovery and healing: I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security”
-Jer 33:6

All I ever Needed to Know... 4 years ago

If you have ever wondered…

“All I Ever Really Needed to Know
I Learned in Kindergarten”
Robert Fulgham

Most of what I really need to know about how to live, and what to do, and how to be, I learned in Kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate school mountain, but there in the sandbox at nursery school.

These are the things I learned..

Share everything.
Play fair.
Don’t hit people.
Put things back where you found them.
Clean up your own mess.
Don’t take things that aren’t yours.
Say sorry when you hurt somebody.
Wash your hands before you eat.
Flush.
Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.
Live a balanced life.

Learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.

Take a nap every afternoon.
When you go out into the world, watch for traffic, hold hands, and stick together.
Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the plastic cup? The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that.

Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the plastic cup – they all die. So do we.

And then remember the book about Dick and Jane and the first word you learned, the biggest word of all: LOOK.

Everything you need to know is in there somewhere.
The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation.
Ecology and politics and sane living.

Think of what a better world it would be if we all – the whole world had cookies and milk about 3 o’clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankets for a nap. Or if we had a basic policy in our nation and other nations to always put things back where we found them and cleaned up our own messes. And it is still true, no matter how old you are, when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.
