I actually finished the bulk of this goal in August with the room switch. There’s still more things I want to do with the room but I like the center. 2 years ago

Switching the office & spare room so this means I’ll be acquiring a flat screen for free. This means new organization for all the systems & games. Free bigger tv = more possibilities. 2 years ago

Been bit bad in the past 2 weeks. Got a Wii for less than $150 over a week ago for exercise, and that purchase led to a purchase of controllers and a wifi adapter for my 360. 3 years ago

I admit I’m one of those people that like to be state of the art but want to do it cheaply. I’ve recently purchased a XBox 360 wireless controller from Japan, which is the start of me getting more items to create my center. There’s still a lot of work to be done to it.

So far I have:
-60GB XBox 360 Pro with 1 white wireless controller & 1 light blue wireless controller
-Playstation 2 with 1 black controller & 1 blue controller
-an entire drawer of electronics I don’t use & need to go through

I want to get the following:

-new 42” flat screen tv or widescreen computer monitor (I have an old TV that doesn’t support HD)
-Wii (game play & exercising) & PS3 (game play & Blu Ray player)
-maximum amount of wireless controllers for consoles
-rechargeable battery stations for wireless controllers
-wireless network for the 360 & future systems
-functional organization for DVDs & game
-an area designated for my DS Lite & it’s accessories
-a decent stereo system for the television (this is last on my list as I’m not really in a hurry for this)

This goal is going to take time since I refuse to buy any of this on credit (unless I can get something on sale) and I want to pay off as much of my credit cred debt ASAP. I also have limited space for all this so this is going to be over time. 3 years ago

So the gaming entertainment center is going alright I suppose. I got a computer and nice lcd monitor. I’m planning on hooking up a suround sound speaker system here before long (day after thanksgiving deals) then we’ll see I suppose.

So originally this was build a HTPC gameing-entertainment center, but I took the HTPC part out. Technology appears to me that it will soon move in this directon all by itself (ISN’T THAT COOL?!) I believe that by the time I would have finished up my kick butt system I could prolly have gotten a better/cheaper/smaller product professionally made for that specific purpose, no waste. The new plan is to build the tv stand custom made for my room, add an amp and high quality speakers (yet to decide if that’s another DIY project, I don’t know yet) add an xbox and halo etc., then mod that xbox and add a bigger HD to make it a sufficient temp gaming center. 7 years ago

Killer sound system, emulator roms backing up all of my games, logitech usb game pads, wireless keyboard and mouse, a 20” monitor, with a projector for parties. DVD player on the HTPC with all sorts of add ons. Oh man, I am so excited! Too bad I’m a poor college student with a crummy job. . . what ev, I am so looking foreward to having a project. 7 years ago
